Parece que le he cogido el gusto a lo de las guirnaldas, son tan entretenidas y rápidas de hacer, además, me encanta el toque que dan y si encima van acorde a la temporada pues mejor que mejor.
La que os enseño hoy es para Navidad, asà que oficialmente aún no la he colgado, me niego a poner nada navideño hasta pasada la primera semana de diciembre. Pero aún asà la he puesto un momentito y os dejo más abajo una foto para enseñaos como queda colgada en su huequito con los libros de Penguin.
It seems like I'm really getting into making garlands, they are just so fun and quick to make, besides, I love the touch they give even more when they are season related.
Today's is a Christmas one, therefore I haven't officially hung it yet, I refuse to display anything Xmas related around just yet. Even though, I just put it up a moment just to show you at the end of the post how it looks on its place with the Penguin books.
Para esta guirnalda utilicé un ganchillo del 4 con la lana Mississippi 3 de Katia salvo para las estrellas en las que utilicé la lana Gatsby también de Katia y al igual que la de otoño los patrones de los adornos los he sacado de distintos sitios. Os dejo a continuación los enlaces a cada uno para que podáis hacer vuestra propia guirnalda navideña. Los patrones son en inglés pero muy sencillos y si buscáis la traducción de los puntos básicos seguro que no tenéis mayor dificultad en seguirlos:

Para el corazón usé este patrón de Sarahndipities que podéis aprovechar para muchas otras cosas, no sólo para Navidad, ella usa los corazones para una guirnalda de San ValentÃn.
I followed this Sarahndipiities pattern for the hearts, you can also use it to make a St. Valentine's garland as she did.

Por último, los arbolitos los hice siguiendo el patrón de Carol de Pure Sugar, me gustó mucho el patrón, muy bien explicado y fácil de seguir.
Finally, I made the little trees with this Carol's from Pure Sugar pattern, I really love using this pattern, it's really well explained and easy to follow.
Siguiendo el consejo de Lucy de Attic24, una vez hechos los adornos, los coloqué con alfileres bien estirados en una toalla con una pieza de foam debajo y los empapé en spray de planchar (también sirve agua tibie, yo tenÃa eso a mano y aproveché que tenÃa algo de apresto); los dejé secar y se quedaron con la forma bien definida, se nota mucho el cambio a dejarlos tal cual.
I followed Lucy from Attic24's advice and once I had finished all the ornaments, I pinned them on a towel covered piece of foam and sprayed them with ironing spray (you can also use lukewarm water but I happened to have this around); I let them dry and when I removed them they kept the form, such a difference from before.
Para unir los adornos utilicé el mismo método que con la guirnalda de otoño, con cadeneta dejando diez puntos entre cada adorno y en los extremos más un poco de lana extra para atar a la estanterÃa.
I used the same method to join the elements as I did with the autumn garland, I used chain stitches leaving ten sts between each ornament and at the ends and a little extra yarn to hang it from the shelf.
Espero que os guste y ya me contaréis si os animáis con ella; las guirnaldas son un proyecto rápido y sencillo y muy entretenido para cuando tenemos ganas de hacer algo pero no queremos embarcarnos en un proyecto mayor.
